The Endodontic Group had its beginnings in 1980, when Gilbert Shearer moved from his Toowong general practice to the current premises in Wickham Terrace to practise exclusively in endodontics, at a time when Brisbane had no registered endodontists in private practice.

We are a practice that specialises in providing care for patients in the areas of root canal therapy, dental trauma management and endodontic microsurgery. All root canal treatment is routinely performed under microscopes for the best possible outcomes and care of our patients.

At the Endodontic Group, our aim is to ensure your patient receives the highest possible care and the most professional, efficient and comfortable dental experience possible to ensure their long-term oral health.

Radiographs: One of the most utilised tools for developing your treatment plan is the use of radiographs (x-rays). High definition radiographs enable our Endodontists to see what is occurring under your gum-line and where your tooth root intersects with your jawbone.
