Anne Sgro Children’s Centre is managed by a parent based Committee of Management. The Committee is made up of office bearers such as Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, Staff Liaison (and deputies) as well as special project roles such as Fundraising, Building Works, Events etc. The Committee is also made up of numerous general Committee members who help to contribute to decision making and general centre support.
All committee members come from various backgrounds and each bring their own set of skills and expertise. The Committee meets once every month on the third Tuesday at 7pm.
The Committee is responsible for the legislative and financial control of the centre, is the employer of all Being part of the Committee is a valuable experience which allows parents an insight into the running of the centre, and provides the opportunity to build and maintain a support network for the Centre Director and Staff. The Annual General Meeting is held in November of each year, and any parents that are interested in participating are welcome to attend the AGM and nominate for the Committee for the following year.
