Our heritage At Asixa, we know Victoria because our origins stretch across the state. It all began in 1995 when six family owned freight businesses from Ballarat, Bendigo, Gippsland, Shepparton, and the Western District pooled their resources and expertise to form a cooperative that could offer customers a ‘one stop shop’ to arrange rural and regional deliveries throughout Victoria. While the co-op originally offered a single point of contact for several regional carriers, it soon became clear that there was high demand for a single carrier to fulfill regional delivery needs. So, in 2001, ‘Asixa’ was born out of the ‘six’ original businesses that had combined to create one of the state’s most comprehensive home-grown logistics operations.
We’ve come a long way since we first set up shop in a small warehouse in Clayton, to now operating out of our purpose-built warehouse in Pakenham that sees more than one million items every year. But we still prize the insight and expertise that comes from our Victorian roots.
