Established in 1981 by owner-manager Chris Reid, CR Engineering is an expanding enterprise that provides high quality steelwork for commercial and domestic projects. From humble beginnings in a basement making manhole covers, Chris has accumulated over 30 years of experience and created a successful business that continues to grow. Originally a boilermaker, Chris undertook his apprenticeship at CSR Sugar Refineries at age 15 and went on to develop his skills in welding work at power stations.
At 21 he started his own business, and has continued to actively grow and promote the company. CR Engineering now operates out of four sheds with almost 100 square metres of space, allowing for a productive and expanding business, and our six staff include highly experienced tradesmen and dedicated apprentices.
CR Engineering specialises in industrial projects for the Queensland government, along with general domestic and commercial work. We pride ourselves on a quality of work that sets us apart from other companies, and with over three decades of experience, Chris and his team are confident that they can provide quality, cost effective solutions for your steelwork needs.
