Description
Industrial Engravers Australia - Over 50 Years of Operation Started from humble beginnings in 1960 by Hugo Van Dyk who learned his multi-engraving skills in Holland, before immigrating to Australia in 1953. After some time, working with a Melbourne Engraving Company, Hugo saw the opportunity to start Dandenong Industrial Engravers to serve the printing, packaging and greeting card industries with dimensional foil stamping and embossing dies. Two of his Sons joined the business soon after, Hans as a trainee and Jack as an experienced machine engraver. Over the years with more trainees, Hugo established the Company as a comprehensive engraving shop, supplying embellishing dies Australia wide and overseas plus general and industrial engraving for the local industries. Hugo retired in 1981. After a ten year partnership with Jack, Hans formed a partnership with his wife Judith.
Computer engraving was adopted by the Company in 1986 with the acquisition of our first two-dimensional engraving machine for basic plate engraving. The new technology was to dramatically increase our work flow and decrease turnaround time. A precision 3 dimensional CNC machine was acquired in 1999 and together with sophisticated software further advanced our capabilities into the the 21st. Century. In July 2011 Hans and Judith sold their business diEngraving to their nephew David Van Dyk and his wife Mary, making it the 3rd generation family owned business.
David has had over 25 years experience within the industry. The business name changed to Industrial Engravers Australia. With experienced staff dedicated to creating high quality craftsmanship, they look forward to taking the business onto the next level.
