I am an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who has been practicing in Melbourne since 1985. I have worked extensively both overseas and in Australia. I am one of Melbourne’s most experienced Obstetricians, having delivered over 20,000 babies in both the public and private system during this time. I work with a team of dedicated and experienced midwives and a maternal and child health nurse ensuring that we provide outstanding care and support throughout your pregnancy, labour and beyond. I am dedicated to your obstetric, reproductive and gynaecological health. I care for women from preconception, infertility, from those expecting completely uncomplicated pregnancies through to those with the most challenging medical and obstetric conditions. As I have a dedicated maternal and child health nurse on staff, postnatally you can expect the care to continue. I have extensive experience and deliver a wide range of gynaecological services to women of all ages and have a particular interest in pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, PCOS, abnormal pap smears, endometriosis and vulval skin conditions. My gynaecological training included advanced laparoscopic surgical training with a particular interest in investigation of pelvic pain, endometriosis treatment and ovarian cyst removal. I aim to provide state of the art evidence based quality care to every single patient. I make myself available 24 hours/day, seven days a week. Although like all doctors, I am on a weekend roster, unless I am not in Melbourne for family commitments, I choose to make myself available to my patients every weekend. I have been a senior Obstetrician at the Royal women’s Hospital and was the Head of a number of Specialist Units during this time specializing in high risk pregnancy. In addition to my private practice, I am the Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Epworth Freemason’s – a position I have held for the past 15 years.
