Description

"I am interested in the whole person and work with strengths to help people to become more fully who they can be. I encourage mindfulness practice and help individuals, couples, families and groups deal with past experiences that interupt the present - to understand the the interplay between attachment and trauma and their impact on us throughout our lives and overcome any negative impacts they have had.

Psychotherapy is a reflective practice that enables us to explore issues, beliefs and practices that are holding us back and to develop the strength, resolve and capacity to make change where we want to or we recognise the need to do so. I journey with you to help you better understand the context within which events occur thus helping you make more sense of what is happening. Making meaning of the life experiences that cause us pain we can transform our suffering into wellbeing.

Seventeen years of private practice and a strong organisational background brings a rich mix of knowledge, skills and experience to my work with individuals, couples, families, groups and organisations. Our work together could be building confidence, self esteem, and resilience and/or mindfulness practice and stress reduction. We could also be overcoming the negative impacts of anxiety; depression; attachment problems; borderline personality disorder; family breakdown; relationship issues; stress; dissociative disorders; abuse; trauma, post traumatic stress disorder or loss and grief."
