Grand Touring Coaches was established at Queanbeyan NSW in February 1998 when coach captain Michael Dzido acquired the charter coach business known as Westrans Rent-a-bus from his former employer. The new business, renamed Grand Touring Coach Charter, began operation with the two former Westrans vehicles, a large Austral Tourmaster coach seating 46 people and a smaller, mid-sized coach seating 29 people. One of our first coaches in 1998, an Austral Tourmaster seating 46 people From those humble beginnings the business has grown and improved steadily. It now has a fleet of six vehicles and has extended the range of services for its clients. In 2004 Grand Touring acquired a 48 seat Mercedes coach and a 19 seat Hino Rainbow minicoach. IN 2005 we added a MAN coach seating 53 people to the fleet.
A. 53 seat coach added 2005 In 2007 we undertook a major refurbishment program which included fitting seat belts to all our vehicles as well as upgrading seating and interior fitouts. In 2009 we replaced our two minicoaches with two of the latest model Mitsubishi Rosa 24 seater vehicles. The latest edition to our fleet is a Volvo B12 coach seating 50 people. This coach includes facilities to accomodate wheelchair bound patrons.
The addition of the Volvo brought out fleet to a total of six vehicles. Our newest acquisition, a 50 seat Volvo coach At Grand Touring Coach Charter we are planning to continue our growth and development with ongoing replacements and upgrades well into the future. Watch this space ..
