Our History The Grocer, a Perth-based wholesale food distributor, began in 1991 with a passion for great food and a desire to share that with all West Australians. That passion is even stronger today with 11 Grocer staff supplying over 1000 essential gourmet food products for 400+ of WA’s best independent food destinations, retailers and restaurants. We are still proudly family owned and West Australian. Our Suppliers Our suppliers come from all over Australia and around the world. Many have been hand making their produce in the same time honoured way for generations.
What they have in common is a deep appreciation and passion for great quality food. As their food distributor, The Grocer becomes their ambassador, passionately marketing their products and ensuring the fruits of their labour reach the final customer in pristine condition. To be a successful food distributor, we work closely with our manufacturers, importers, retailers and chefs to ensure that we understand how the food is produced. This also allows us to anticipate the needs of everyone in the chain from producer to consumer.
