We are a non-profit organisation. Members come from all walks of life, from new mums to grandmas, but we all share a real enthusiasm for the fun and challenge of performing Barbershop music. New members are always welcome to come and “Sing with Us”

Performances ….
The chorus is available for performance bookings and we aim to entertain our audiences with a stylish, polished performance and a repertoire to suit a variety of occasions – Contact Us!
Performances are many and varied – ranging from concerts, special functions, Jazz festivals, Moonah Arts Centre concerts, civic events, charitable functions, garden clubs, fairs, eisteddfods. In addition, we endeavour to put on a ‘show’ – usually at the Playhouse Theatre every 2 years.

What an adventure ….
The adventure started in 2000 when the chorus travelled to Perth to sing for assessment – an experience not to forget. Since becoming a chartered member of Sweet Adelines International in 2001, we have competed every 2 years in several capital cities round Australia. We also co-hosted the convention in Hobart for 2 years – 2008/9. Members have attended several workshops on the mainland and the chorus invites an experienced coach each year to come and work with us. All these opportunities lead to members becoming better singers, and performers – and what fun!!

New Directions ….
In 2010, a talented new Musical Director – Russell Bailey, took over the helm, and is involving as many talented members of our chorus as possible to enhance our musical product.

Goals ….
Always to have fun, improve in the wonderful art-form of barbershop singing, to ‘sing out’ at lots of performances. We are working towards competing in the National Convention in Perth in 2013, and have performances lined up to work towards.
