As the Local Government Authority (LGA) of Holroyd City, we provide services that go well beyond rates and rubbish. From keeping the City growing, balanced and connected to working with the community on being active, we look after the place and its people for today and tomorrow. Council is directed by the elected Mayor and Councillors and the day-to-day operations of Council are overseen by the General Manager and his staff. We have twelve elected Councillors, three for each of our four wards - North, South, East and West.
The Mayor is elected each year from amongst the twelve Councillors and elections are held every four years, where voting is compulsory. As you will see on our website, we take pride in looking after Holroyd City and delivering quality services to our community. From day to day waste and recycling services to specialised programs for the aged, youth, children and even pets, we work with our residents to find out what they need and we deliver on time, quality and budget.
We strive to be a dynamic Council - a Council that is open with their community and takes on challenges in partnership with them. We invite all residents to take part in local decision making and to have their say on matters that affect them. We look forward to continuing our work with you on building a place for everyone.
