Description

Marty Wieczorek, Bandleader, Saxophonist and Clarinettist

One of Sydneys most outstanding jazz men, Marty regularly performs at venues in the top end of town. While completing his Bachelor of Jazz Performance at the prestigous Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Marty was a member of the Western Australian Youth Jazz Orchestra appearing with the likes of Kate Ceberano, Daryl Somers and James Morrison. The recipient of numerous scholarships, Marty is fast establishing himself as one of the most in demand and versatile musicians in the Sydney jazz scene.

Edoardo Santoni, Vocals

Edoardo has received many industry accolades for his soulful and sincere vocal stylings, including Tirple J airplay, Unearthed features, as well as being selected as the only male vocalist to appear at the Wangaratta National Jazz Award Finals, Australias premier competition for the elite in Australian jazz. He has appeared along side Ray Thistlewaite and Phil Stack of Thirsty Merc fame, as well as Tina Harrod, and Augie March, among many others.

Dave DeVries, Guitar

As one of Sydneys top guitarists, Dave has had the pleasure to perform with some of the big names in Australia jazz including James Morrison and Judy Bailey. Dave completed his Bachelor of Music Performance with first class honours at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and was the recipient of the Patricia Bell Scholarship. He has appeared at the Wangaratta Jazz Award Finals, and is the current artistic director of the well established Jazzgroove Associaton.

Abel Cross, Bass

Abel is one of the "go to" bassists in Sydneys jazz scene, dividing his time between the big smoke, teaching jazz at the Wollongong Conservatorium, and touring his music both nationally and internationally. Abel has performed at Australias most prestigous venues including the Opera House, Angel Place Recital Hall, and at some of Australias most well-known jazz festivals.
