How it all started.. LightCo was established in December 2006 by Roy Doron, who after having his own lighting consulting firm in South Africa and establishing a Sydney showroom for another company, decided it was the right time to start importing Luxury Lighting Brands into Australia from top European manufacturers and distribute nationally. After setting up a highly efficient distribution network with key agents and retailers across the country, it was not long before the industry started adopting these brands and using them in many projects. In late 2010, LightCo moved to a larger warehouse in Sydneys new design hub Waterloo and converted half the space into an understated showroom with design focused elements that accented the various ranges beautifully! Due to growing demand, LightCo opened a Sales Office in Melbourne in 2014.
Today LightCo has the sole distribution rights for a number of top brands from across the world and is constantly working with the suppliers to ensure they produce and deliver only the best products into the Australian market. We understand that our clients are constantly striving to present their customers with the best that the lighting industry has to offer. Therefore we continue to visit international lighting fairs every year to source new and innovative products for the Australian market.
LightCo takes the environment seriously. Energy efficiency is a major factor in selecting new products. If a brand or product does not meet LightCos strict efficiency standards, it will not make it into the selection of “Luxury Lighting Brands” found on this website.
