Melbourne Medical Skin Clinic was created to give its patients an easy, convenient location to address any skin related issues or complaints. Our GPs are qualified as specialists in skin care and general dermatology, and we are dedicated to prevention and early detection of skin conditions including melanoma and non melanoma skin cancers allowing for quick, effective surgical and non surgical treatment whenever possible.

Dr Pradeep Dissanayake is the founding doctor at Melbourne Medical Skin Clinic. Pradeep is a GP with special interest in skin cancer medicine, skin cancer surgery, general dermatology, and minor skin surgical procedures. He has undergone specific postgraduate medical education and training in primary care (general practice) skin cancer medicine and general dermatology and skin surgery in Australia and the UK. Pradeep is a qualified and experienced skin cancer doctor accredited by the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.

Our main philosophy revolves around the early detection and treatment of skin cancers.

We are here to support and educate the local community in the fight against dangerous skin cancers like melanoma, as well as less aggressive forms of skin cancer like basal and squamous cell carcinomas.

We are here to teach you how to keep an eye on suspicious moles, blemishes and marks and to give you regular skin checks and mole mapping so you’re always one step ahead of danger.

We are also strong advocates of prevention and will recommend the use of sun screen year round, hats and sun safe clothing and swimwear for people of all ages. Sun safety isn’t just for kids. Everyone can benefit from taking a few simple steps before they venture out into the strong Australian sun.
