Description

Canberra Chiropractor Murray Fisher Hello, my name is Murray Fisher and I’m a Canberra-based chiropractor. I graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Applied Science after 5 years of tertiary study. For over 3 decades now, I’ve been operating my own private chiropractic practices and have been located in the Canberra area for more than 25 years. My interest in chiropractic first developed when I was in my teens. My entire family used to regularly visit the local chiropractor in my home town for health maintenance. Initially I didn’t really understand how and why it worked, but I figured my parents did, and that’s why we were going.
My understanding grew during my teenage years, and with this growing understanding came a developing sense of appreciation of the benefits of chiropractic care. This really gelled with my desire to pursue a career that would be of benefit to others. So after completing Year 12, I enrolled in an accredited chiropractic program at the Phillip Institute of Technology in Melbourne (now RMIT University). In the years since completing my degree, I’ve actively sought to broaden my experience by operating successful practices in diverse Australian communities, including cities, and regional mining and farming centres. During this time of seeing patients from all walks of life, I’ve adjusted over 200, 000 spines which has enabled me to develop my chiropractic skills to a high level of expertise.
As well as this breadth of clinical experience, I participate in continuing professional development courses, so as to keep up to date with advances in the profession. So here I am, over 3 decades since I started practising as a chiropractor, and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Everyday I get to observe people as their bodies work more closely to their optimum health potential, and listen to the stories of how their quality of life has improved, often in ways that they may not have expected.
