Description
Originally Your Local Broker in 2008, the idea was born over the kitchen sink in Boondall, QLD. Jaci Smith, a Brisbane based mortgage broker, wanted to create an even playing field for brokers, despite their financial backing or marketing prowess. The first iteration of My Local In 2015 Gerry Ryan came onboard as a director. April 2015 saw Jaci set up shop in a community workspace in Prahran before eventually moving into the freshly renovated HQ in South Melbourne.Broker launched in 2012, with roughly 1,100 mortgage brokers Australia-wide.
