On the average day, the hospital will admit 60 patients, treat 40 patients in the Emergency Medical Centre (EMC), undertake 25 operations, prepare over 700 meals and process over 5, 000 pieces of paperwork. Noosa Hospital offers a range of services including: Accident and Emergency; Anaesthetics; Ear, Nose & Throat; Endoscopy; Gastroenterology; General Medicine; General Surgery; Geriatric Medicine; Gynaecology; Haematology / Oncology; High Dependency Care; Intensive Care; Ophthalmology; Orthopaedics; Palliative Care; Pathology (QML); Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery; Radiology (QDI); Rehabilitation; Renal Medicine; Respiratory Medicine & Urology. Noosa Hospital is the only BOOT (Build Own Operate Transfer) Hospital in Queensland.
The hospital is a privately owned hospital and has a contract with Queensland Health to provide some public health services to the people of Noosa and surrounding areas. Over the years Noosa Hospital has forged close working relationships with Nambour General Hospital, Nambour Selangor Private Hospital and Caloundra Private Hospital. Noosa Hospital is owned and operated by Ramsay Health Care - a publicly listed company.
