Description
The Remote Outback.. Tracks Less Traversed" This theme proudly states Ossies unique Philosophy, which started in 1993 & evolved for the next 10 years as we took travellers on Horseback through bushland surrounding Alice Springs. Harry, a Bushman, developed his guiding skills from Horsemanship, as he lead Horse Tours for more than 20, 000kms. During this period he developed an appreciation for Explorers John McDouall Stuart; Ernest Giles & John Ross from the Overland Telegraph Line, as like them, he too rode in Central Australia. Meanwhile Sandy operated Ossies Homestead Guesthouse for 13 years, gaining knowledge & skills pertaining to Tourism in Central Australia. She enjoys the responsibility of catering for our tours, with the view to maximising the holiday experience for our customers.
No more Horses or Guesthouse! Now Luxury Toyota Landcruiser adapted to remote area Touring. Carrying a maximum of 6 people to places not journeyed to by other Tour Operators. We are the only Alice Springs Tour Operator to go through the Finke Gorge National Parks "Boggy Hole" on a regular basis, enroute to the icons of Kings Canyon & Ayers Rock. In the Finke Gorge National Park you will see Cycads & Red Cabbage Palms. Probably unique birds such as the Red Tailed Black & Major Mitchell Cockatoos, maybe Pelicans or Black Swan on Boggy Hole, or Letter Winged Kites on the Old Andado Track.
Wedgetailed Eagles soaring above or friendly Bearded Dragons, cute Thorny Devils, flowers or dusty dunes according to the season. Experience Aboriginal & European history as we travel slowly in low range 4WD along the Finke or Hugh River. Whether accommodated or camping we travel in comfort and cater accordingly, as we travel on "Tracks Less Traversed" We invite you to come and share our knowledge and passion for the Central Australian Region. Harry & Sandy Osborn.
