RAK Australia is a subsidiary of Goldspar Group. An Australian company that delivers high quality cost effective tubular products to the world market using our own in house state of the art production methods. The company in the early days specialised in the design and manufacture of sailing equipment, including yacht masts and booms, later expanding to include roof racks, flag poles, light poles, sporting posts and other aluminium tubular products. In 1996, Doug Rawson-Harris, director of the Goldspar Group designed and developed the first Multi-Function light pole system known as the Smartpole.
This won him the Australian Design Award for Industrial Design in 1997. It was further developed to become known as Multipole. In addition the Goldspar Group has developed many accessories for the Multipole plus a complimentary range of street furniture and bus shelters.
RAK Australia was formed in 1989 and won Australian Design Award for Industrial Design in 1991 for the RAK roof rack system. With our in house design capability as well as our own fabrication and assembly facilities in Sydney, we can provide customers with flexible packages including customised products where customers require special designs.
