The South Lakes Golf Club was the first development of its kind in Australia to completely integrate a holiday/residential community with a golf course. From humble beginnings in 1966, the Club has grown to have the largest membership base of golf clubs in regional South Australia. The Club is proud of its reputation of having a friendly and family orientated atmosphere where patrons receive value for their money while enjoying the experience of our hospitality. The South Lakes Golf Club is owned and operated by its members to provide facilities for the playing of golf and other sports, and for recreational and social activities.
The Club has a General Manager who operates under a Management Committee comprised of Club members to ensure the objects of the Club are fulfilled. With its philosophy of ‘Thinking Differently, Acting Innovatively and Changing Constantly’, South Lakes is well known for its forward thinking and it has developed into a reputable club within the golfing fraternity of South Australia. Sited in the middle of the Goolwa township, the Club is readily accessible to motels, caravan parks, holiday rental homes and the Marine Cove Resort.
The South Lakes Golf Club is an associated member of Golf Australia, Golf SA, Golf Management Australia and the PGA of Australia. These peak golf bodies govern the way we play and promote the sport in Australia.
