Stuart and Kellie Harvey opened Vines Restaurant at Helens Hill, Yarra Valley in June 2005. Previously, they owned and operated a restaurant in Warranwood. This restaurant was also located in the Yarra Valley and was established in 1998. Initially both Stuart and Kellie worked as chefs in the kitchen, until Kellie took on the role as front of house manager and Stuart continued as the executive chef. Stuart and Kellie have created a restaurant with a reputation for fine dining and excellent service. Stuart comes from a family who have always been involved with food and fresh produce. He has worked with some of Melbourne’s top chefs in Stephanie Alexander, Andrew Blake and Steven Mercer.
Stuart enjoys creating new recipes from old. He keeps himself busy with 3 young children and spends a lot of time in the garden with the kids, teaching them how to grow and create their own produce. The children enjoy helping Dad where possible in the family business. Our Team of friendly staff endeavours to continually improve quality. This has lead to strong customer satisfaction and a reputation for excellence. The events team of Christine and Sue are available seven days a week to answer any questions you may have regarding bookings, functions or wedding enquiries.
