W. Newey & Co. was established in 1923 by William Newey (known to the locals as “Old Bill”). He ran the agency out of a local laundry which he rented in Padstow. In the late 1920’s the agency moved to Bankstown; initially next to the old “Jewel” Theatre on Chapel Road and later to its current location at 30 Bankstown City Plaza (across from Bankstown Railway Station and between major banks). From such humble beginnings, W. Newey & Co. has grown to be one of the largest Real Estate offices in Sydney’s South West employing over 20 staff members.
William Newey advertised his agency with pride as one which transacted “all classes of Real Estate”. Old Bill’s vision continues today, with dedicated teams specialising in Residential Sales, Auctions, Commercial & Industrial, Property Management, Strata Management, Rentals and Valuations. At W. Newey & Co. we believe in making a difference in our local community.
